The skiing season is not fully open, but more and more resorts will open some lifts before Christmas. Andorra, Baqueira and Font-Remeu are e.g. already open today, others like Peyragudes, Piau and many more will open on 22 Dec. Check all open ski resorts here.
At the Théâtre du Grand Rond (23 Rue des potiers, Toulouse), from 22nd to 29th December at 11h and 15h, the theatre offers a show mixed of dance, poetry and puppets for 3-8 year olds.
The Théâtre le Fil à Plomb (30 Rue de la Chaîne, Toulouse) has a kids programme from 3 year olds from 25-29th December at 15h30 daily.
An interactive Christmas musical for children from 4-10 years old at the Comédie de Toulouse (16 rue St-Germier, Toulouse) on 26-27th December. This theatre is really nice and gives you a nice theatre feeling with red curtain and red seats.
The Halle de la Machine has a special Christmas weekend planned. Discover the machines and enjoy some free concerts, food trucks, rides on the Minotaure and much more.
This traditional circus, existing for 250 years, is in Toulouse from 1 Dec to 6 Jan. Enjoy a very comfortable and modern tent with excellent artists. They offer several shows a day to suit everyone’s schedule.
The Ballet du Capitole is putting up a new show over Christmas, Don Quichotte. This classic of the ballet is a great ballet to bring you in the Christmas mood. The Ballet de Capitole is a fantastic ballet company that brings passion and technic onto the stage.
Christmas market time is not over. The weekend before Christmas on 22-23rd December from 11h-19h, the creative pink christmas market is happening at Place Saint-Pierre. Come around for your last christmas presents. 45 local designers will sell clothes, jewellery, accessories, decorationm ceramics and cosmetics.
From 8-23 December, this craft and solidary Christmas market, will put up its stalls on the Allées Jules Guesde and offers wooden kids toys, jewellery, foie gras, honey and much more. All are local producers from the region.
For the first time this year, the five-star hotel la Cour des Consuls located in Esquirol will be installing a “halle gourmande” from 13th to 23rd December. There will be good food from seven well-known chefs, a DJ every night, and nice drinks. Stay tuned for the full program, it should come out soon!
As every year, Toulouse has its own Christmas market on Place du Capitole. From 23rd November to 26th December, you can enjoy some mulled wine, local specialities like aligoté, tartiflette and buy local products from the little huts around the square.
From 1st December to 6th February, the city of Gaillac hosts the Festival des Laternes, an impressive festival with laterns from Sechuan, China. The festival opens when the night falls at 6pm so that you can enjoy the laterns all nicely lit up.
