Open-Air Bars

Summer is not yet over and we still have some weeks of great sunshine in front of us. Here are our tips for open-air bars in and around Toulouse to fully enjoy the summer in the ville rose.

Canaille Club – Saint-Michel

Canaille Club is an open air bar in Saint-Michel that is only open during the summer season (opened on 24th May). Here you can enjoy drinks and food in a very cosy backyard in Saint-Michel. Tip: book your table 4-5 days in advance, as it is always fully booked.

La Centrale – Ile du Ramiers

Opening on 8th June at 18h00, this bar has a beach feeling with a mix of different styles of furniture. It has a very cosy atmosphere surrounded by forest with a view on the Garonne. Last year, we also participated in a yoga event here, so watch out for any special events on their Facebook page.

Ma biche sur le toit – Galleries Lafayette

A great location for an after-work drink overlooking the city of Toulouse. You can access the bar through the Galleries or after closing at the side entrance. They also offer lunch, dinner and brunch on weekends.

Bleu bleu – Garonne/Blagnac

If you fancy a drink far from the city in an amazing natural surrounding, then come to Bleu Bleu (easily accessible by foot or bike). You can drink a glass of wine or beer here, but don’t expect too much luxury. We are not so sure when this bar officially opens, however it is definitly open in July/August.

A m’en donné – Jardin Raymond VI

This little bar at the top of the Park overlooks the waterfall of the Garonne and gives you a nice view onto the city centre. In summer they often have a DJ on Sundays at that bar or even breakdance battles.

Pêcheurs de sable – Daurade

Located at the Daurade, this place opened already in April and offers specific apéritif compositions including a bottle of wine and several snacks for €20. They also have several craft beers from the region.

La Guingette – Quai de Tounis

La Guingette is a nice bar for an after-work or weekend drink as it offers a great view on the Pont Neuf and the Prairie des Filtres. You can even observe people wakeboarding on the Garonne. It is open until mid-September.

La plage du Moulin – Saint Martin du Touch

The perfect summer bar for an after-work drink if you work in Saint-Martin/Colomiers or Blagnac. Just next to the river Touch, it’s a great place to stop by on your way home. Not sure when they open though, so please check their Facebook page.

Envol côté plage – Balma

L’Envol is a great restaurant and bar where you can enjoy nice food and drinks with your feet in the sand. They have regularly DJs that turn the bar into an open air summer club.

La voile blanche- Sesquières

La voile blanche is similar to l’Envol. They have a restaurant, bar and club with pool to enjoy the long summer nights and have a real feeling to be on the beach.

Les Robins des bois – Pont de Blagnac / Olympe (closed now)

From 3rd June, enjoy this beach bar every Sunday over summer at les Jardins de l’Olympe sports park in Blagnac. They have great beats to enjoy a nice drink on a Sunday afternoon.

We hope you enjoy Toulouse as much as we do in summer. Have fun with your friends in one of the many summer bars.
